Breezy's 3rd Birthday!!!

Breezy's 3rd birthday was on November 17th! We've had such a fun birthday weekend! Our weekend started on a great note when Terry's mom, Bev, drove here from Wisconsin! She's made it a tradition to spend every birthday with Breezy! Breezy was sooo excited when Bev arrived Friday night! Bev watched Breezy Saturday morning while Terry and I did last minute errands for the party. At noon, everyone arrived! We had a great time with all our wonderful friends! Breezy had so much fun playing and opening presents! She was so funny...the very first present she opened was a baby stroller. She insisted on finding her baby Ashli, so she could take her for a ride! We had to convince her to leave the stroller for a while and open the rest of her presents! Too cute! She loved everything that she opened! Saturday night we had fun playing with all of her presents!

Sunday morning Breezy had another surprise waiting for her when she woke up. She walked out into the living room to find a train table with more presents on it! Grandma Bev and Grandpa Gary bought Breezy a train set (I know...she is such a "girlie-girl", but the kid loves trains!). :) She was super excited when daddy set up her choo-choo train! She can even control it by herself! How fun! We spent the rest of the day watching football (go Badgers and Packers!!) and playing and playing some more!

Monday morning came so fast and it was already time for Bev to leave. :( Breezy was so happy when Bev told her that she would come with me to drop her off at school. I made a bunch of cupcakes for her to bring in for her birthday! I thought Breezy would be so excited to show Bev everything at her school....but I was wrong! All she wanted to do is lay her head on Bev's shoulder and give her the most amazing cuddles I've ever seen! I think she knew that her Grandma was leaving and it made her very sad. :( Both Breezy's teacher and I had tears in our eyes just looking at the two of them! But, when it was finally time to leave, Breezy had smiles on her face and ran to play with her friends! Thanks Bev for a great visit and for all your help! :)

Monday night (for Breezy's actual birthday!) we had a quiet dinner and celebrated with cupcakes and ice cream! Then Breezy was able to open her final present from mommy and daddy....a jump n' gym inflatable trampoline. :) Unfortunately, we didn't have her open it until 5 minutes before her bed time!! Needless to say, she was very exited to jump and asked in the cutest voice if we could please blow it up! How can you say no to that?? :) So Terry, being the awesome dad that he is, went outside in the freezing temperature to blow up her jumper with the car air pump. An hour later....we had enough air in it so she could finally jump! She was so patient and was very appreciative when it was done.

We had such a great birthday weekend! It's so hard to believe that our little pumpkin is already 3! We are so blessed to be the parents of such a caring, beautiful, loving and well-behaved little girl!

This year we decided that Breezy should have a Princess Party! I let her choose between a castle cake or Cinderella. She definitely wanted Cinderella! She was so cute while I was making her cake...she would walk up and say, "Oh...cute, mom!" or "Thanks for my cake mom!". She was very happy when I finished and continued making me feel so great by telling me how much she loved it! The look on her face made all the hard work worth every minute! :)

Already checking his list??

Look who we ran into as we were walking through Sears! We turned the corner and there he was...the big man in red....SANTA!! He was just walking down the isle with a gal from the photo lab! You should have seen Breezy's eyes light up!...ok, and mine too! He came straight to us and offered Breezy a candy cane! Too cute!! While he was talking to her, mommy thought quickly and whipped out the camera! Yeah mom! Such a cute picture! (she's always been too scared of Santa in the mall to want to sit on his lap or take a picture with him). At least I have this picture now, just incase she gets a little intimidated again this Christmas season! :) And as a side note....I'm 99.99% sure this was indeed the real Santa! Just look at the guy! There's no way that he was just a "helper". I think he knew that Breezy and I had been playing Christmas music all day in the car and he wanted to make a surprise visit to show us that he was thinking about us too!! :)

A Very Fun Halloween!

We had so many fun activities planned this Halloween! We went trick-or treating at Crossroads Village (a town set up just for trick-or-treating!), carved pumpkins with our neighbors, went to the Lawrence pumpkin carving party, trick-or-treated with Breezy's preschool to all the local businesses and had a huge Light the Night party at our neighbors house! Needless to say, we were very busy (and loved every minute of it!).

We had such a fun night with our neighbors Cory, Andrea and their daughter, Natalie! We all bought pumpkins together and then we hung out at their house and ate pizza and ice cream and carved our pumpkins! The two little girls had a blast playing while the adults had a blast carving the pumpkins! However, we underestimated the incredible amount of time it takes to carve detailed pumpkins...and we ended up having to keep the girls up way past their bed time!! But it was so worth it! The pumpkins turned out great! Terry had a half green/ half orange pumpkin, so he did one scary face and one happy face on his! I decide to do the cat (way more involved than I would have liked!). But they turned out great and we had an awesome time with our fun neighbors!

Lawrence Pumpkin Party: 2006 and 2008. Too cute!

Princess Belle:

Trick-or-treating with Breezy's pre-school class! I can't believe what incredible weather we were blessed with on Halloween....67 degrees and sunny!! That NEVER happens! The kiddos had so much fun walking around downtown Fenton and trick-or-treating at all the businesses!

Our neighbors Acacia and Maretta agreed to host Light the Night for their church. Basically, it is a safe family-friendly alternative to trick-or-treating. It was a Hawaiian theme, so everything was decorated accordingly. They had cider, donuts, popcorn, cotton candy and bags of Halloween candy for everyone! They put a huge bounce house up in our driveway! They also had music and games! And did I mention that it was free?? :) It was such a fun night! Breezy and Natalie had so much fun on the bounce house (so...it wasn't really a house, but I don't know what else to call it!). We had fun playing all the games with Cory and Andrea! Breezy absolutely loved the hula-hoop! I swear the hoop was twice the size she was, but she could sure get the thing moving! (she even did better than her mommy and daddy!). We finally put Breezy to bed and helped take everything down (including the bounce house...which was very funny to watch!). We met a lot of really nice people as well! I wish we could go to something like that every year instead of trick-or-treating! :)

P.S. I dressed Breezy as a Badger football player because I thought it would be a lot more fun running around and jumping while wearing jeans (instead of a big princess dress!). She looked super cute...especially sitting next to Natalie in her Michigan cheerleading dress!

Cory and Breezy rockin' the hula-hoop!

The girls having sooo much fun bouncing!

Beer pong....I mean 'water pong!'.

Stylin' in our super cool hats!!

Crazy Terry! (I guess this is what happens when you finally take one day off from studying!)

Lovin' her daddy!

More attractive hat pictures!

I'm not even sure whose mask this was! Breezy thought it was funny to try and scare us! Then she wanted to take a picture of me wearing the mask...pretty impressive picture taken by a 2 year old! :)

Everyone laying on the bounce house to get all the air out! Too funny!
