July 30th, 2008

I have a lot of new pictures that I need to post today! I've been sick for the last week and a half, so I haven't been very motivated to update our blog! We've had so many fun things going on the last few weeks. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Our friend and neighbor, Acacia, had a fundraiser to help raise money so she could attend a conference in Texas. The fundraiser was held at a mini-golf course (which was located next to a yummy ice cream place!). When you donated money, you received a round of mini-golf and a coupon for free ice cream! Breezy and I went along with our friends Jeni, Kal, Brad, Jacqui and baby Trip. Both Kal and Breezy had a lot of fun golfing. This was Breezy's first experience mini-golfing and I have to say...she did a phenomenal job! She got a hole in one two different times!!! The first time, I was helping her line up and hit the putter. But the second time, she insisted that she do it all by herself. So, the little squirt grabs the putter, takes a swing, and the ball goes directly in the hole! We all laughed so hard! I don't think she quite realized how amazing it was that she got a hole in one! It's a pretty sad day when your two year old beats you in golf......

-Daddy's little cheerleader - I thought this pictures was cute! We were at the gym and Terry was playing basketball. Breezy sat on the bench and cheered on her daddy! It was very sweet!

These pictures were taken outside our house. Breezy had a fun time looking at all the wild flowers!

A doctor at one of the hospitals hosts an event every summer that he calls "Wookfest". He owns a lot of beautiful property outside of town and every year he puts up a big stage and has different bands come to play. We went with the Lawrence clan and had so much fun! Everyone brought something different to eat and drink. We put out a bunch of blankets and listened to the music. Breezy was absolutely in her glory!! Friends, food and music is about as good as it gets for her! She would stand up and start dancing every time the music started to play! Then she would ask Terry and I to take her down to the stage so she could dance up front! She was so adorable and put on quite the show! She was very entertaining and I know she could have stayed there all night!

This is my little honey helping me vacuum! She use to be so afraid of the vacuum! Now it's fun for me to see her want to help!

It was 5:45pm and Breezy still wasn't up from her nap. So I went to go wake her up. I thought it was so cute how she was sleeping there with all of her babies lined up against the crib! By the time I grabbed my camera, she had woken up. But she still looks darn cute sitting there just up from her nap!

The other night we had a wrestling match and pillow fight in our living room! Breezy thought it was so funny to wrestle and throw pillows at mom and dad! And I have to say, for a two year old, she can throw that pillow pretty hard!!

Peek-a-boo! My cutie-pie thinking she's very funny hiding in the closet in the middle of her daddy's clothes! Too cute!

I couldn't decide which one of these pictures to post because I thought that they were both so beautiful! So I decided to put them both on! We feel so blessed to have such a gorgeous girl!!

Our little gymnast is at it again! This is Breezy in the gigantic foam pit! She won't jump in all by herself yet, but she doesn't cry when her mommy tosses her in against her will!! In fact, she loves it!

Breezy and Kal were at it again with Dance Party USA! They came up with some pretty creative moves!! Breezy's favorite song was "Ice Ice Baby"! They had so much fun dancing all around the living room!

Breezy decided to show off a few of her gymnastic moves. She impressed everyone with (almost!) doing the splits! I think she was more surprised than anyone else!

Breezy absolutely loves baby Trip! She always talks to him in the cutest little voice! He's such a little sweetheart and has the cutest dimples when he smiles!

We spent another amazing weekend out at the lake! Breezy took this opportunity to show off her adorable new swimsuit! She looked so cute in it and it looked a lot more comfortable than her other suit.

Breezy loved digging in the sand and blowing bubbles (of course she chose the pink bubbles!). Breezy and Kal went back in the house and put on their own 'Dance Party USA'! They were so cute dancing like crazy around the living room. :-) We enjoyed another amazing dinner and decided that Terry shouldn't be left out. Poor Terry was at the MRI center working a 24 hour shift. So, Lou packed him up tons of yummy food and Breezy and I brought it to him. Breezy was so excited that she was able to see her daddy!

Last night after Breezy's bath, she came into her bedroom with her towel around her and this little smirk on her face and said, "Look mommy...I'm a witch!" I don't know why it struck me so funny!! I guess I assumed that she really didn't know what a witch was! Too funny!

"And the award for "The Most Dramatic Fake Cry" goes to.........................Miss Breezy Roman!!!!!"

"I'd like to thank my mommy for passing down to me her over-emotional feelings, and I'd also like to thank all of my dolls who have always been there as a support system for me. I realize that so many people pay a lot of money for acting classes to achieve what comes so naturally for me. I feel so blessed that I can fake cry at the drop of a hat. Thank you again for this award."

Terry and I had a great date night! We ended up having dinner and drinks with Jacqui and Kelsey and Jeni and Brad. We all sat at BW's until 11:30pm! Breezy did great for Acacia! They played outside for over an hour and Breezy loved every minute of it! We feel so blessed to have such a great neighbor that we trust leaving Breezy with!

I forgot to post this picture when I was talking about my girl's night. How cute is this! I was getting ready and when I walked out, Terry and Breezy had made adorable messages all over the driveway! Terry had better watch it....I might just go out a lot more often if that is the kind of treatment I get when I leave!! It was so sweet! Breezy had such a blast when she was finally able to have a daddy-daughter night!

I took this picture when we were on a walk the other day. Breezy wanted to show "Big Ashli" the water. Such a little sweetie!

What a proud mommy moment! Could it be....could my daughter really be applying lip gloss so perfectly by looking in the mirror?? I knew she was talented, but this goes above and beyond! I think her lips looked better than mine!

I thought this was so cute! This morning it was raining like crazy, so Terry and Breezy opened the window to watch the rain. They just stood there for the longest time talking about the rain and feeling it come through the window! So sweet!

Terry went golfing with Kelsey tonight, so Jacqui invited Breezy and I out to the lake. It was such a gorgeous night! We all sat outside by the fire and Breezy was able to experience her first Smores!! I was impressed that she even roasted her own marshmallow! She took one bite and realized that she would rather just eat the chocolate bar! So mommy 'took one for the team' and was forced to eat my Smore and Breezy's....the things we do for our kids! haha! Breezy and Kal sat on the pier and splashed their feet in the water. Then Brad caught a little fish so Breezy could see what it looked like. She got pretty close to it, but chose not to touch it (I don't blame her!!). It was hard to force myself to leave....I could have sat by that fire all night long!

Girl's Night and Date Night!

Wow! Could this week get any better?? When is the last time I had a girl's night AND a date night in one week?? I actually don't think it's ever happened.

Jacqui, Jeni and I decided that it would be a great tradition to start having a girl's night every Wednesday night. This week we went for Margarita's and Mexican food with their mom Lou, and their friends Kim and Ashley. We had a great time! The next day we all went for a walk, went out to lunch and then did some shopping! It is so nice to have met new girlfriends to hang out with! Breezy loves every minute of it....she loves being one of the girls! (she was even trying on clothes in the dressing room and modeling for everyone!)

Terry and I are having a date night tonight!! That usually only happens when we go back to WI, so we are very excited to finally have a night to ourselves! Our neighbor Acacia is coming to babysit Breezy. She babysat once before, and for the first time ever....Breezy kicked Terry and I out of the house!!! I wasn't even ready yet, and Breezy says, "Bye mom! See ya later. Go eat food!" Too funny!! I told Acacia that she should take that as a huge compliment, because Breezy isn't a huge fan of being away from mom and dad (unless she's with other family members). They had such a great time! Lucky for us, Acacia and her mom own a school nearby AND she is EMT trained!! A teacher and medically trained?? Does it get any better than that?? :-) Needless to say, I am so comfortable with leaving her tonight! We're planning on grabbing something to eat and going to see a movie. Fun for us!!

Breezy continues to be thrilled when it comes to going to gymnastics! She's been asking to go all week. She even "practices" her gymnastics by jumping off the chair and doing "stretches"! What a little sweetheart!

Here's a little video clip of Breezy running up to the spring board. As you can see....she has a little work ahead of her. But give the girl a break....she's only 2! Plus, she's having so much fun!!!

Here's my little cutie pie's face as she was begging me to take her to the farm! (for those of you who don't know, my family has a beautiful farm back in WI, and Breezy just loves it when she can go out there with her Papa and Amma. She has so much fun hanging out with Great Grandpa and Uncle Steve and Uncle Dave). Too cute!!

July 2008 (Brianna 31 months)

We've had a busy few weeks! After the Richards left, my parents came to visit for a long weekend. Then, two days after they left, Terry's mom and step-dad came to visit! Now everyone is gone and the house is way too quiet!!

We had a great time with my parents here! Breezy was so excited to see them pull up in the driveway! Right away she had them playing dolls, tea parties and throwing the ball back and forth! Breezy had so much fun wrestling with her Papa!! And Amma did a great job of trying to get Breezy to go on the 'big girl potty'! She did pretty well while my mom was here, but then times got crazy with more company and never being home. (I promise mom, I'll try to keep up with your hard work now that everything is settled down again!!) On Saturday, we all went to the Buick Open. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun! Terry took Breezy back for her nap (even though she would have loved to stay the whole time!) and my parents and I stayed for another 3 hours. It was especially fun to see the pros playing the course because Terry and I knew that we would be playing there for a 4th of July golf outing 4 days later! It was so sad to see my parents leave. For the first time, Breezy got a little teary when she realized that they were leaving. Needless to say, it made the rest of us get really teary eyed when we finally had to say goodbye.

My cousin Jenny (a.k.a. "Aunite Jen Jen") has always been so good about sending Breezy little presents in the mail. Breezy gets sooo excited when she realizes that the packages are for her! She always sends her the most adorable clothes from the Baby Gap. Here are a few pictures of Breezy modeling the 2 shirts that Jen sent her (plus a cute naked picture just for the fun of it!) I swear with those poses that Breezy has a modeling career in her future!!

GYMNASTICS!!! Breezy had her first gymnastics class last week! I was so nervous that she would be too shy and not want to try anything. I was SO wrong! Of course she wanted me by her side, but she did everything that the other kids did! It was so cute to see her get so excited! She even cried when we had to leave! We'll be signed up every Wednesday for the rest of the summer!

Having fun with Daddy! Breezy was showing daddy her new gymnastics skills by leaping off of her chair and flying right on top of him! She was so funny and had absolutely no fear! (I can't say the same for Terry...he had to cover up with all the pillows from the couch!!).

Terry's family arrived very late Thursday night. His mom and step-dad were more than willing to watch Breezy while Terry and I participated in a 4th of July scramble at Warwick Hills golf course (where the Buick open was held). We were invited to play by one of the doctors that Terry works for. It was so fun playing the course after seeing all of the pros play it the weekend before! Terry and I had never played a course with such fast greens and such THICK rough!! We both played really well.....o.k....so Terry played really well (a 79!!) and I played really well for the first 5 or 6 holes! :-) But, we had a great time and our team took 3rd place out of 18 teams!! Our team won a gift certificate for the pro shop. Dr. Lawrence and his fiance were so nice and gave their share to Terry so he could go buy the golf club he was so badly wanting to buy! Talk about nice!! :-) We ending the evening with a great buffet and yummy dessert table! Here's a picture of Terry cheering me on from the grand stands that were still up from last weekend. He said that he was my biggest fan....but from the looks of it....he was my ONLY fan!! haha :-)

Bev and Gary had so much fun spending some alone time with Breezy while Terry and I were at our outing. They took her to the park, took her for a long walk and played a lot of ball outside!! The next day, we all did a little shopping at the outlet mall and then we spent the rest of the day at the lake!! Scott and Lou Lawrence were so nice to invite us all out to their house (again!). So, we took Bev and Gary out there for all of us to enjoy the beautiful weather! Breezy had a great time playing in the sand and we all had a great time watching Terry wake board and water ski! And after a wonderful 2 days, it was already time for Bev and Gary to leave. We couldn't believe how fast the time went by. Next time, we are insisting that they stay for at least a week!!

After Bev and Gary left, Terry went out golfing with his friend Kelsey (he had to try out that new driver!). Kelsey's wife Jackie (Scott and Lou's daughter) invited Breezy and I out to the lake again. How can you say no to that!! I had so much fun with Jackie, her sister Jenny, her mom and her friend Kim! I felt like one of the girls! We had a great time hanging out at the beach and talking about all sorts of fun girl stuff! Terry and Kelsey arrived just in time to eat the ton of pizza that Lou ordered. Then, all the girls convinced me that I had to go out tubing with them!! I was so nervous!! I seriously think that the last time I was tubing was probably in middle school!! So, I gave in and ended up having the time of my life!!! I haven't laughed that hard in so long!! I think we were out on the tubes for at least an hour and a half and we finally went in only because it was so dark out that we could barely see each other once we fell off!! Needless to say, I'm a bit sore today and I have a giant bruise on my arm that's the shape of Texas.... :-) However....I'm counting the days until I can do it again!!!
